5G subscribers in India are set to surge from 290 million in 2024 to 770 million by 2028, driven by the increasing penetration of 5G-enabled smartphones and the rapid expansion of next-gen broadband networks, according to Nokia’s 2024 Mobile Broadband Index Report released on Thursday.
The report highlights a threefold increase in 5G data traffic in 2024, powered by the doubling of active 5G devices and significant network expansion into rural areas.
